It seems I've been granted a bit of a do-over. Thanks to the Carpocalypse, as Jalopnik likes to call it, my automotive supplier employer has released me from my job.
While I am going to miss the family atmosphere of the shop, this may be a blessing in disguise. Things in the IT world have mostly changed for the better, and now seems like a great time to get back into it.

I know, I know, Facebook helps you keep in touch with people. Many companies are now using it to disseminate training and keep track of contacts. But does it have to be so ugly? Anyone who is actually familar with working with web pages must surely be frustrated by it. I know I am, and I'm by no means a web designer. Granted, the results are not nearly as eye-searingly bad as a run of the mill Myspace page, but can't we at least edit the CSS? Perhaps even juggle around the layout a bit? Hmmm?
